- Open the 'Outlook' application
- From the 'Tools' menu at the top, select 'E-mail Accounts.'

- A dialog box will appear. Check the 'Add a new email account' in the 'E-mail' section, then click the [Next] button.

- Select 'POP3' as the 'Server Type'. Click [Next].

- Another dialog box will appear. Set the value of 'Outgoing mail (SMTP):' to smtp-server.com
- Your outgoing email server is different from your incoming email server, Click the [More Settings...] button, and then click the 'Outgoing Server' tab.

- Check the 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' box.
- Click 'Log on using'
- Enter the SMTP User Name and type in the SMTP Password you created for the outgoing email server.
- Check the 'Remember password' option if you don't want to type it in every time you send emails.
- Enable 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'.

- Set the port number to 25 in the 'Outgoing server (SMTP):' box.
- Enable 'This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)'. This setting is highly recommended. It makes your entire email session, including your login, encrypted and secure.
NOTE:
Some ISPs block SMTP Relay causing outgoing messages to bounce. If this happens to you, try entering different port settings.
- Go to the 'Advanced' tab
- Enter a new port number in the box for Outgoing server (SMTP). Use either 80 or 2525 as a port number.
- Click [OK].
