Eudora

Eudora v. 7.0.1.0

  1. Open 'Eudora'.
  2. Select 'Tools' from the top menu; and 'Options...' from the drop-down list.
  1. Click in the 'Options' window to highlight the category 'Sending Mail'.
  2. Enter your email address in the 'Email address:' field.
  3. The ''SMTP Server:' should be set to smtp-server.com and the 'SMTP Relay Personality' should be set to 'None'.
  4. Select the following options: 'Allow authentication', 'Immediate send', 'Send on check'.
  5. Click the drop-down menu in the 'Secure Sockets' section and select 'Required, Alternate Port'.
  6. Click [OK].

 

NOTE: If port 25 is blocked make sure 'Use submission port (587)' field is checked. Click the drop-down menu in the 'Secure Sockets' section and select 'Required, STARTTLS' or 'Required, Alternate Port'.

 

Important: The Eudora mail client uses the same User Name and Password for incoming and outgoing email. Please change your SMTP User Name and SMTP Password in the Control Panel / SMTP Accounts to the User Name and Password you have for POP3 (Incoming) Server.
